Public TV: a necessary need for RP
In almost 60 years of Philippine television, there is an attempt to establish a public television network here, which was modeled on American television: the state-owned Philippine Broadcast Service (PBS) launched its own channel in 1960. Unfortunately, it was short-lived, because it was “sandwhiched” between CBN-9 (now part of ABS-CBN) and MBC-11.
